Music Memory Game
Game pieces
2 identical sets of game cards with 12 cards per set
Before you begin
For this game it is best to divide the class into two groups of four childrenĀ in each group. Shuffle the cards so that the pairs are sufficiently randomized. Lay out the cards on the rug one at a time next to each other to form a square or rectangle. Have the children sit in a circle around the cards.
To play
The first child turns over two cards. If they match, that child removes those cards from the square and holds them. Play then moves to the next child, typically clockwise in the circle. If the cards turned over by the first child do not match, the child turns those cards back over, leaving them in the same place and orientation in the square, and play moves to the next child. Play continues in this way until all the pairs are turned over and removed from the square.
